What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Transcendent art – a painting, a sculpture, a piece of music, brilliant writing. The first time I saw Van Gogh’s Starry Night, I wanted to stand in the corner and weep.
Heaven does exist, and I hope to hear the same thing I do after my better lifetimes: “Well done, and welcome home.”
What is your idea of earthly happiness? Appreciating the blessings of life and embodying an attitude of gratitude. True contentment lies not in what surrounds us but comes from within.
What is your motto or favorite quote? I’m a Reiki Master/Teacher, and this is what I give my students – the five Reiki Principles, plus one. Today, I will give thanks for my many blessings. Today, I will not anger. Today, I will not worry. Today, I will earn my living honestly. Today, I will be kind to myself, my neighbor, and every living thing. Today, I will respect the Oneness of all life and honor the Divine within
Who are your favorite fictional heroes/heroines? One of my favorite heroes is from an older Laura Kinsale book The Shadow and the Star. Samuel was abused as a child and grows up to be a defender of children but is clueless when it comes to women. My September 1 release Replay Book 2: Triple Play touches on the subjects of child abuse and sexual addiction. I’ve included the national child abuse hotline number and websites in the book.

Personal experience and extensive research go into crafting her characters, but it's her sense of whimsy that has made fictional Posey, Minnesota, the ménage capital of the United States with a Monty-Python-themed diner that's central to the plotlines.
Nia was fortunate enough to meet her soul mate early on. She married her high school sweetheart, raised two children, and began writing at her husband's suggestion. She has been published in erotic romance since 2015.
