WHO IS BRYCE CALDERWOOD?
"You don’t 'become' happy or achieve happiness, you create it every day from your decisions."
Bryce Calderwood writes stories that are equal parts sexual depravity and loving tenderness. Get to know him as he was brave enough to answer my off-beat questions.
What is your favorite word? Least favorite word? Daddy. Especially after the word “yes” as spoken by Kitten. Least favorite word is “literally.”
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Genre-busting and mixing, badassery, hotness and compassion.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? "I’m sorry.”
What is your idea of earthly happiness? Comes and goes in fleeting, beautiful moments. It’s not a goal state in and of itself. You don’t just sit around being happy all the time, you feel happy because you’re DOING SOMETHING that makes you happy. So it’s about what you’re doing (and who you’re doing it with). You don’t “become” happy or achieve happiness, you create it every day from your decisions. Writing books gives me many moments of happiness. Being the best Daddy I can be for Kitten provides endless moments of happiness.
What is your present state of mind? Mild panic to get this book done and at the level of quality I want on time.
FIRST HOWL Teaser Below...
The Erotic Adventures of Kitten an Big Daddy Magic I: The Kittening
What is your motto or favorite quote? Choosers can’t be beggars. I flipped the well-known proverb around to signify that if you’re in charge of your own life, no one else compromise you. It’s my warcry to do things my way. As soon as you believe you have no choice, you become a beggar, both metaphorically and perhaps soon in reality. If you always believe you have a choice, and you make that choice, you’re still in charge of your own life.
Who are your favorite fictional heroes/heroines? Smoky Barnable from Little, Big by John Crowley, because he’s something that’s almost impossible to achieve: a shy everyman loser character who’s interesting.
Drusas Achamian from R. Scott Bakker’s “Warrior Prophet” series (or whatever they’re officially called). Achamian is a wizard of immense, devastating power, and het he’s a also jealous, bumbling fool in love. Nothing is ever easy for him and yet his thirst for knowledge and his hope in love keep him going in the face of tragedy and horror.
Julia from Lev Grossman’s “The Magicians” trilogy. Rejected by the magical college of Brakebills, she learns magic the underground way. Her melancholy life twists down dark and tragic paths after that but she ends up wielding a magic unique and strong as anything the protagonist has. Like a younger, hotter, more emo version of Bellatrix Lestrange.
Caroline from The Vampire Diaries. She was better than the characters gave her credit for. She was tragic and my heart just broke for her constantly. Every time another character mistreated her I wanted to jump through the screen and kill them. (Aunt Jenna was a close second for that show. I thought she would’ve made such a snarky, fun, yet tragic vampire, but no. Opportunity lost in my opinion.)
Armand, from several of Anne Rice’s vampire books. If I were made a vampire as young as he was, I have the feeling I would’ve ended up similar to him. He’s got an almost psychotically unfeeling sense of right and wrong that worser parts of me identify with. He’s a beautiful devil who looks like an angel. You want to hug him but he’d just snap your neck.
Depraved, Violent, Tender-Loving Erotica
Bryce Calderwood is an award-winning, top-100 Amazon author who has been publishing strangely hot erotica since 2015. His stories usually combine paranormal elements with either futanari or BDSM (or both). Bryce likes to explore the boundaries between sex and violence, between pleasure and pain, and between the human and the monstrous.
He lives currently near the coast in North Carolina, where the weather is nice but the landscape isn't and neither are the people. Bryce has been involved in the BDSM lifestyle off and on for many years and is now a very proud Daddy Dom for a darling cute and perverted Kitten. Every day, Bryce writes smut, drinks insane amounts of black coffee, and grows his beard.

WHO IS PATIENT LEE?
Patient Lee is the newest member of the WICKED PENS WRITERS and wildly talented. She writes erotic realism—stories about everyday people, infused with the erotic. She works full-time and has a husband and three children. She writes when she can, sometimes balancing the laptop on her knees and the cat on her arm. She enjoys her seasonal camp site in the summer, spending many hours at a folding table under a canopy, writing and sipping Chardonnay or a super-hoppy IPA.
"Light and darkness are themes in several of my stories."
"I love the sound of a breeze whipping through a screen. Reminds me of my childhood and makes me happy."
Patient Lee, as busy as she is with family, writing, her website, and oh yes, publishing a book is just one day, she somehow managed to answer my zany questions like a rock star. She is as cool as she is smart, and you're going to fall in love with all the beautiful quirks that make her uniquely Patient Lee.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Music turns me on creatively. If I’m stuck, I do my radio challenge. Listen to your favorite station and write a story inspired by the next song that comes on. I’ve written a bunch of stories this way. Here’s a list of some of them:
Angel's Lips, Snips, and Tips- Lips of an Angel by Hinder
Bare Naked: Screwdriver by Jackyl
Gay Greenhorn on the F/V Lost Agnes: Midnight Train to Georgia by Gladys Knight and the Pips
Muffin’s Change in the House of Flies: Change (In the House of Flies) by Deftones
(I'd like to invite ALL authors to participate in the Patient Lee Radio Challenge. I'll feature your story on my home page. All the details and the other stories are on my website at the following address. Radio Challenge: http://www.patientlee.com/radio-.html
What sound or noise do you love? Hate?
I love the sound of a breeze whipping through a screen. Reminds me of my childhood and makes me happy. I hate the sound of paper rubbing together. Gives me the willies.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
“Jesus fucking loved Gay Greenhorn on the F/V Lost Agnes.”
Who is your favorite artist (writer, painter, musician, poet, etc.)?
Chris Cornell. In addition to being super hunky hot and having a voice that makes me grip the sheets, he writes music that is poignant, powerful, and moving. Two of my favorites:
Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart: https://youtu.be/zpMfZPAc1kg?list=PLOMiaxBuz4TGbuBcnyk4VavDHflqYkqnz (Not because my heart’s been broken, but just because it’s a great song. My favorite line: “Try to take a picture of the sun. It won’t help you to see the light.” Light and darkness are themes in several of my stories. Mrs. Maitland’s SAD Valentine, for example. Some readers have told me that the beginning is too dark. It’s about a man with Seasonal Affective Disorder. Without the darkness, the light isn’t as special.
Like a Stone: https://youtu.be/7QU1nvuxaMA?list=PLOMiaxBuz4TGbuBcnyk4VavDHflqYkqnz It’s a powerful song, but there’s a reason it’s my ringtone. I’ll let you figure it out for yourself.
“Try to take a picture of
the sun. It won’t help you
to see the light.”
--Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart, Chris Cornell
How would you like to die?
In my sleep. Of old age. During a book club meeting where they discuss my book.
What is your present state of mind?
Stressed out. My new book comes out tomorrow, and I’m so happy with the way it all fit together. It’s five stories about gay men, but each story represents a different step in the process of discovering one’s sexuality. Here’s the trailer for the collection: https://youtu.be/rkohaBNNAnw

WHO IS AUTHOR NAYA FREE?
Hot new author, Naya Free, explores sensual eroticism in her romance novels, with a flair for dramatic tension. Her latest release, Leone Nor: Five Girls, introduces Leone, a man who is hard to describe as he is kind and passionate, strong yet heartbroken, easy-going but indestructible!
NAYA describes herself and her writing in this way:
With my writing, a smile is how it ends yet a thought is where it all begins. Perpetually, I search within my heart and soul to bring out what is most real in a character, a story, the setting and plot, along with everything in between. Throughout the years, I have dreamt up many engaging characters, a few have been powerful enough to make it onto the printed page. And I love them for it. In erotica, I find grace, solace, beauty, truth, and the most intense connection inside the pages of a novel. One that portrays love in sexuality, acceptance in pain, and freedom in discovery. My aim is to please you, the reader. Enjoy the seduction!
GET TO KNOW NAYA FREE
Stealing from the greatest of interviewers, James Lipton, I provided Naya with a series of questions to choose from. Have a look at what she had to say and get to know how Naya's mind works. Soon you will see why Naya isn't just an incredible writer but an incredible person as well, a person I am honored to call my friend.
What is your favorite word? Least favorite? I like the concept of love, all around. However, my favorite word would have to be BEAUTIFUL mostly because of the way it rolls off my tongue, but also because of its deeply soothing meaning. Beauty can heal, is universal, and can be found everywhere in our world and galaxy. Whether it’s physical, sentimental, spiritual, metaphysical, spatial, or extraterrestrial, beauty has a great positive effect with its effervescent, almost godly, lightheartedness. My least favorite word is ‘Ridiculous’ and that’s because I can’t say it right, rolling my ‘R-s’, but that’s just as well because it’s a negative thought, so there! LOL
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Really, anything artistic... it can be a quote from a great writer, their book, a sexy commercial, a piece of classical or jazz music, a painting, even cooking shows by one of the best chefs in the world... a comedy show, or a friend or family member telling me a story or something about their day. A stranger passing by looking distraught or delirious, or both, you know, life, oxygen, flowers, sports, racecars, anything real or imaginary excites me. It is all a part of my repertoire as a writer, inspiring my creativity, adding to my spiritual experience, which is quite simply being in awe of creation and life itself, good and bad, though the bad is terrible and makes me sad, but such are emotions, they come and go, bringing you up and down. You have to go with the flow and above all have gratitude.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? I’d love it if God has a sense of humor and S/He’d say something funny that was geared specifically to my life experiences. It would make me laugh for the longest time, maybe feel ticklish and happy for eternity. LOL... Or maybe God would just say: “Ready for the next round?!” with a wink, you know something amazing your best friend might do to make you feel good about everything you have gone through in life.
What is your idea of earthly happiness? Breathing.
What is your present state of mind? I’m excited. This is going to be a fun year. Just have to stay positive, enjoy, work hard, and be grateful for each day.
What is your motto or favorite quote? Well, I don’t know if it’s my favorite quote but it comes to mind right now, as fitting since I talked so much about life and what it means... A thought by the undeniable Mark Twain: “Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that makes you smile.”
LEONE NOR: FIVE GIRLS
and visit Naya's website for this amazing trailer.
“Yes, I feel that also. It’s just most men don’t want any strings for a fling. So, I don’t know…”
“I’m not most men. And I don’t think this is just a fling. You?”
“No, I don’t. Leone, I like you. And I know I’ve been acting weird, but that’s precisely the reason. I like you so much that I’m afraid you don’t feel the same way, and you’ll reject me.”
“Not at all, my dear. In fact, I’ve been fighting some strong feelings for you too, thinking you’re still hooked on your ex.”
“Who me?! Josh!!! Come on, and I told you what he did to me. Unforgivable. But it doesn’t matter at all, how I might still feel about him. Because you have erased any memory of him. I am completely and utterly, head-over-heels, in love with you, Leone. I just didn’t know how to tell you. Or even, whether I should tell you, at all. You know, it’s hard to go on…”
“...Yes, yes, I do.” I needed to stop Andrea from saying anything else. I just wanted to take her. Make love to her. Own her. Let her know she is mine. I wanted to bury myself deep inside of her. To hear her moan, wail, fuss, scream, and beg for release.
So I take her left hand, pull her towards me, and have her sit on my lap. No further talk is necessary. And so it’s not allowed. I kiss her deeply on the lips, revealing her plump tits, stroking her nipples, bringing them to attention. I let go of her tasty lips to move my mouth down to her left nipple, then the right one, all while massaging her clit with my middle finger. I do this for some time until I feel her getting soaked..
RELEASE DATE JULY 27th--PRE-ORDER NOW!
Lucas X. Black is quite a unique individual who I have been fortunate enough to come to know over the course of several months. He is warm and honest and one hell of a writer. I have read two of his works so far, Legacy, a short piece he is turning into a larger work, and the first in his Josiah series, Love and Justice, Volume I. See my reviews.
Lucas's standard BIO reads as such: Lucas X. Black is a lifelong dominant living in southern Texas where he is engaged as a full-time writer. He is formerly a paramedic of many long years’ experience, and often incorporates that knowledge base into his writing. Away from home, he enjoys spicy and exotic foods, loves to fish, and loves going to the movies. In his home, behind the closed doors of his dungeon, he is a sadist and humorist, in love with eliciting a range of sensation and reaction from his oh-so-willing victims.
But I needed to know a little more--as I'm sure you do too...so I asked: The bio on your Amazon page fascinates me. It states that you are a R/L dom. What does that mean to you? Also, when you say that you are "a vicious prick with the right partner", what do you want that phrase to mean to people? What is it that you hope they understand?
Lucas said: R/L is real-life. It means I do these things (well, some of them) in addition to writing about it. It means someone entrusts me with her safety and well-being, and I use her trust to take her where she needs to be. Primum non nocere (first, do no harm) is paramount with me. It's a standard I learned as a young paramedic way back in a prior millennium, and a standard I have forever upheld in my doings and dealings.
I can be creatively ornery with my partner. One once said I was the most dangerous dom she'd ever met, not because I subjected her to undue risk but because I kept her laughing too hard to give enough attention to how hard I was whacking her ass. But the little smartass tried telling me once she couldn't be paddled because she was allergic to wood. So I paddled her and she didn't die, and I pronounced her cured and told her she'd be billed $400.00 for services rendered.
And I still want to know so much more, but that may take a novel, so I'll have to settle for this right now. I asked him these questions stolen from James Lipton, Bernard Pivot, and Marcel Proust. You'll be able to see a bit of Lucas's depth and sense of humor that make him not only a pleasure to read (his writing often makes me laugh out loud), but a friend who challenges me and keeps me on my toes! I usually only publish 5 or so of the questions, but Lucas answered them all and who I am to stop him? I heard he makes a mean flogger! ;)
So without further ado. I give you LUCAS X. BLACK.
What is your favorite word? Least favorite? I like antidisestablishmentarianism. Like so many readers, I dislike "moist."
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Creatively, I'd have to say solitude, where I can go be God without distraction. Spiritually ... I think sometimes that knowledge that I am precisely where I am supposed to be. Emotionally ... I lost emotions working EMS in the long-ago. LOL
What sound or noise do you love? Hate? I love those early morning sounds of the birds just waking up and singing their good morning. I despise fingernails on a chalkboard, which still sounds better to me than most metal. LOL
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? "Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the glory of thy Lord." Or words to that effect.
If you were reincarnated as some other plant or animal, what would it be? Knowing my luck, probably roadkill that's already been to the taxidermist.
What is your idea of earthly happiness? Knowing it'll all be okay, a state of grace I've yet to find.
Who are your favorite heroes/heroines in real life? Our military men and women, and those in Police, Fire and EMS, who risk it all as a matter of routine to keep us all safe and sound.
Who is your favorite artist (writer, painter, musician, poet)? Everlast. Love his music and the depth of his lyrics, as well as the style.
How would you like to die? Preferably as a very old man, sleeping off a night of wild and wooly sexual escapades.
What is your present state of mind? Same as always: bathing in a skull full of cerebrospinal fluid.
What is your motto or favorite quote? Three: Lux et umbra vicissim, sed semper amor (Light and shadow by turns, but always love) and Ego te ad crepitum (I fart in your general direction) and Illegitimum non carborundum (don't let the bastards grind you down)...Don't you just love how Latin makes anything sound erudite and like it carries lots of gravitas?
WANT MORE LUCAS? I don't blame you. Follow his social media links below and stayed tuned for his next release JULY 14TH Volume III in his Josiah series.
Astrid and Becky have joined the family, and things seem to be normalizing, when a death changes their lives forever. In the midst of it, one slave meets with redemption and forgiveness. Meanwhile, a friendship is forged between Josiah and Simon, master of Anita. Anita is an attorney but seems to have but a nodding acquaintance with ethics, and Simon wants to learn more of dominance, to master Anita more effectively. Along the way, the bonds of Clan Bailey grow stronger than ever.
“Honey, you’re beautiful and if you think I don’t know beautiful young women are desired in the beds of virile men, you need to wake up and smell the coffee,” Mabel said. “I want to show you something.”
She went to a bookshelf and fetched a photo album, and set it on the table, then opened it to one of the pages toward the back. It was an ancient black-and-white photo of a slim and beautiful naked woman.
“That was me when I was your age. My husband took that photo and developed it himself. About two months later we got in a big fight about something so stupid I don’t remember what it was, and I went out for revenge sex with Tom Stafford. I should’ve known better. You think tongues wag in this small town now, you should’ve seen it then, when there were far fewer tongues and everyone knew everyone. Tom probably hadn’t shot his spunk into me yet by the time Gene knew about it."
